5 Tips for Saving on Low-Cost Airlines like Ryanair and EasyJet
- Book Early: The earlier you book, the cheaper the tickets. Low-cost airlines often release seats at low prices, which gradually increase as the departure date approaches.
- Travel Light: Avoid baggage fees by sticking to carry-on luggage. Both Ryanair and EasyJet have strict baggage policies, so check their dimensions and weight limits before packing.
- Choose Off-Peak Times: Flights during the weekdays, early mornings, or late evenings are often cheaper. Avoid peak travel times like holidays and weekends for the best deals.
- Be Flexible with Airports: Check nearby airports for better rates. Ryanair often flies into smaller airports that can be more affordable. For example, flying into Treviso instead of Venice can save you money.
- Opt-Out of Extras: Low-cost airlines make money from additional services. Skip seat selection, priority boarding, and onboard meals to keep costs down. Also, bring your snacks and water to avoid inflight purchases.
By planning ahead, packing wisely, and staying flexible, you can make the most of your budget when flying with low-cost carriers like Ryanair and EasyJet.
