The best meals I've had in Venice have been at Antiche Carampane. For us, it's a real cut above all other Ventian Restaurants.

To put it in protective, we've been to Venice sixteen times, the last time for a month. Never less than a week. We eat out every night. Carampane is superb! It would be a top notch Restaurant if it were in Naples! (the highest compliment I can think of).

Very hard to find; as many times as we've been there, we still have to take written down instructions to navigate our way there.

Reservations are a must; don't arrive late, they will give your table away! However, it's absolutely worth it!

Best Meal I've Had In Venice

One year ago we were in Venice for New Year's Eve with my daughter and her husband. We had rented an apartment in the Dorsoduro neighborhood.

We wandered around the area where our apartment was located until we came across a restaurant named Casin dei Nobili. They made a place for us even though we didn't have reservations.

We had such a great meal!

I have been to Venice a number of times but I have never had food better than here. I have taken friends and family here and made many recommendations for Casin dei Nobili.

I have been to the Casin dei Nobili restaurant many times as I love the Casin dei Nobili mask store which is just across the lane from the restaurant and which I've written about in our shopping in Venice guide. I agree with you too, I have always eaten well here.
