My wife and I are x ski racers from New England. We enjoy deep carved turns on big wide open well groomed trails.
We do a ski vacation every spring and we've been to Colorado, Utah, the Canadian Rockies, Whistler and even Sierra Nevada Spain. I have never seen better grooming than in Arabba and in general the whole Dolomite Superski region.
We chose Arabba because it had the highest altitude, small town resort feel and instant access to the Sella Ronda. Arabba was the perfect choice.
Plus our trip was in late spring and we wanted to be able to ski to our hotel without downloading so altitude was key.
We actually skied the last day of the season there and on 10-20 ft of snow. Perfect weather, exceptional grooming, super modern lift system and the best mid mountain restaurants I've seen anywhere in Europe.
I can't imagine skiing in Colorado or Utah and being satisfied after our Dolomite experience. Throw in 2 days in Venice. at the end of the trip and we had our best skiing vacation ever. I can't wait to go back.
Maria's reply: Thank you very much for sharing. Yours is really is a glowing endorsment of the Dolomites and Arabba in particular and it is great to hear such good things from somebody who obviously knows about skiing.
